Kindergarten Building / New Staff Quarters

Our kindergarten building is looking good, we have two of our four classrooms built and both are painted and windows installed. One room is tiled and ready for the door to be installed. Also, we are giving thanks for the new staff apartment that was started.

July 2009 Construction Progress

The Vocational Training Centre is on the move and many parents and deaf adults can’t wait to see it finished, the need for the deaf to learn a skill is great.The foundation of our Kindergarten Department has started and this is a good thing, we would like to finish two of four rooms for September. Our littles ones are coming in and we are out growing our little space, we ask for your prayers. The first two photos are of the kindergarten site and the third image is of the Vocational Training Centre.

Boy's Day

Boy's Day is a day celebrated in most schools in Jamaica as a project to rescue our boys. Teaching them to be moral, honest and productive as males in the society. Giving them positive influences through role models in the form of motivational speeches imparting positive values and attitudes. JCSD also wants what is best for our boys, so we have adopted this project.

Sports Day
We had a great Sports Day, the students performed very well, in attendance were a few parents, the community and students from Sam Sharpe Teachers College to help us on that day.

Student Activities
We have posted some photos of some of our recent activities. In this gallery are pictures of Jamaica Day, Artwork by Miss Wellington, Thanksgiving Dinner courtesty of Vanessa Scales. Also, we recently had a fun day - a treat for the children from members of St. John's Methodist Church. This is their third year putting this day together for the children. We would like to thank them for e all enjoy their love and support.
