School Needs

If you are coming to visit us and would like to bring supplies or donations from the United States, please contact us for a list of current needs. Before buying large or expensive items to bring with you from the U.S., please consider any taxes that you may have to pay to get them into the country.

In some cases, it may be simpler to purchase the items in Jamaica rather than bringing them from the US and having to pay taxes or shipping to get them to the school.

3 Teacher's Desks and Chairs *
24 student's desks and chairs *
10 chairs for computer lab *
8 chairs for library *
3 tables and 36 chairs for dining room *
1 multimedia projector
8 desktop computers
2 lap tops
2 digital cameras

We would be grateful if we received all these but the * means they are critical for September 2011.

The most pressing need for Jamaica Christian School for the Deaf is people committed to supporting the school on a regular basis. The school depends on donations to cover costs related to the education and care of the children and the day to day operating expenses of the school.
